Medical Lab Tech in training
Medical Lab Technician (MLT)
This program trains students in laboratory procedures, including analyzing samples, performing low and medium complexity tests, and ensuring accurate results. MLTs play a crucial role in assisting healthcare professionals in diagnosing and treating patients, while also ensuring the accuracy and proper calibration of essential mechanical equipment.
In an RCI Phlebotomy training class, a phlebotomist in training is practicing applying a tourniquet on a fellow student.
Phlebotomy (CPT):
The Phlebotomy program prepares students to become skilled professionals in drawing blood and collecting samples to be analyzed in laboratories. Students learn proper techniques in venipuncture, equipment usage, patient communication, and data management, essential for a career as a phlebotomist.
Certified Nursing Assistant students are practicing a common CNA physical support tasks on each other; helping a patient get out of bed and stand up.
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA):
The CNA program equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to provide direct patient care. CNAs assist patients who may struggle with daily activities, monitor vital signs, and provide essential support in various healthcare settings.
RCI students are gathered around to learn proper blood pressure measurement techniques, using a manual blood pressure cuff.
Medical Assisting (MA):
This program trains students to become versatile healthcare professionals, working as Medical Assistants. MAs perform front office and back office duties, including administrative and clinical tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patients, taking vital signs, assisting with examinations, managing medical records, and more.
EKG Monitor
Electrocardiography (EKG/ECG):
The EKG/ECG program focuses on the study of the heart’s electrical activity. Students learn to perform electrocardiograms, interpret results, and identify potential abnormalities. EKG technicians play a vital role in diagnosing and monitoring heart conditions.

Jumpstart Your Medical Career with Financial Aid

Financial aid for vocational schools is a crucial resource that helps students overcome financial barriers and pursue their educational goals. Medical vocational schools, like Regan Career Institute, provide specialized training programs that prepare students for in-demand healthcare careers. However, the cost of tuition and living expenses can be a significant barrier for many individuals. That’s why RCI offers financial aid options, to ensure that financial constraints don’t hinder students from acquiring the necessary skills for successful careers in healthcare.

As a leading medical vocational school, we are committed to assisting students in navigating the financial aid process. By offering a range of financial aid options, we strive to make education attainable for students from diverse backgrounds.

Most short programs like Phlebotomy, CNA, and EKG are not eligible for Federal Financial Aid. However, we occasionally offer special programs for short durations that may have financial aid options available. Call us to inquire about any current financial aid programs.

For long programs like Medical Assisting and Medical Laboratory Technician, the first step in applying for financial aid is to file a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
  • The FAFSA will determine your eligibility for federal grants, educational loans and possible work-study programs.
  • If you’re hoping to receive any type of government financial aid for school, you would file a FAFSA
  • You can apply for FAFSA at studentaid.gov/h/apply-for-aid/fafsa
  • If you feel you are no longer eligible for FAFSA, give us a call and we can check your current status.
