If you suffer from allergies or asthma you may have trouble breathing and you might have other symptoms that make life difficult. There are many things that can cause of trigger an allergy or an asthma attack. There are some medications and treatments that your doctor will provide that will help keep your condition under control. The first step is to schedule an appointment with a Little Rock allergy and asthma clinic.

Pinnacle Allergy Clinic offers a variety of services to diagnose and treat allergies and asthma. Some of our services include allergy testing and treatment, injections for allergies, asthma evaluation and treatment, pulmonary function testing, skin allergy evaluation, chronic infection evaluation, food allergy care and treatment and insect sting allergies. Dr. Ruddell has extensive experience with the diagnosis and treatment of allergies and asthma as well as other similar conditions.

Our allergy and asthma clinic doctor and staff have the expertise necessary to test and diagnose your allergy or asthma condition and then determine the best method of treatment. Testing for asthma will be done to eliminate the presence of other conditions such as COPD. There are four main categories of asthma based on the severity of the condition. The severity can change over time.

Preparing for Your Allergy and Asthma Clinic Visit

When you visit the clinic the doctor will need to find out as much as possible from you about your condition. To prepare for your visit it is helpful to keep a log of the days and times that you experience allergy or asthma symptoms. Make note of what you are doing at the time the symptoms occur as well as what you had to eat. These are all things that are helpful in diagnosing an allergy.

Once your doctor has an idea of the types of things that trigger your allergy or asthma she will be able to conduct tests to determine the exact cause. Treatment will depend on the type of allergy that you have as well as the severity. Staying away from the allergen is the first thing you can do to prevent or reduce symptoms. Sometimes it is not possible to stay away from a particular allergen.

In these cases you will need to have medication that will reduce the symptoms. You may need to work with your doctor to find a treatment that works best. Adjustments can be made until the combination that works best is found. In some cases, such as in the treatment of asthma, you may need to have an inhaler that you can use when you experience a particularly severe attack.

Remember that there are many things you can do to reduce the symptoms of your allergy with the help of your doctor. At Pinnacle Allergy Clinic we provide a variety of care and treatment for patients in the Little Rock area. Call us to learn more about how we can assist you with your allergy or asthma condition.
