Successful completion of our Phlebotomy course earns you a California State CPT1 (Certified Phlebotomy Technician 1) & LPT. For Electrocardiography, earns a Nationally Certified EKG Technician certificate. For Medical Assisting, earns a National CMA (Certified Medical Assistant) or the optional RMA (Registered Medical Assistant) certification. The Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) is a recognized higher education accreditation organization in the United States specializing in the institutional accreditation of private, postsecondary institutions that offer allied health education programs, and the programmatic accreditation of programs leading to associate degrees or certificates in the medical assistant, medical laboratory technician and surgical technology fields.[1] The ABHES is the only healthcare education accrediting agency that is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. In addition to recognition by the U.S. Department of Education, the ABHES is also recognized by the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA), the American Medical Technologists (AMT) and the Liaison Council for Certification of Surgical Technologists (LLC-ST).

The California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education (BPPE) is a unit of the California Department of Consumer Affairs charged with regulation of private postsecondary educational institutions operating in the state of California.

Generally, students have to be 18 years old or older and require a GED or equivalent. Each specific course has their specific requirements. The course page detail will show those specifics.

You will have to complete a GED or have your foreign degree either evaluated by AACRAO or obtain an official translation of the foreign transcript. You can contact AACRAO at http://www.aacrao.org.

The course is a 6 day class. First set of classes falls on Fri, Sat, & Sun and next occurs the following week also Fri, Sat, & Sun. Class hours are 7am-530am. On the 3rd sat you take your National State exam. Our school will then send you for additional 40hrs of externship/clinical.

Our EKG course is an accelerated program taught on Fri, Sat, Sun from 8am-5pm for 2 weekends.

Our MA program is 900 hours in total for front and back office training (i.e the Full MA program). It runs thru approximately 9 months including 160 hrs of clinincal/externship.

Once a complete application is received by the state, they require 60-90 days and sooner in some instances.

Effective April 9, 2003, all persons performing phlebotomy who are not California licensed physicians, nurses, clinical lab scientists, or other licensed professionals where phlebotomy is not in their scope of practice must be certified as a phlebotomist before they can draw blood.
